The Impact Is For His Glory
The Impact Is For His Glory
Today is day 3 of our fast, and we're concluding our theme of IMPACT.
After reviewing hidden impact and the importance of tarrying, let us conclude with what our impact should yield. If we hold fast to the truth that "everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made," (Isaiah 43:7) then we have the right perspective.
All of what we do is for the glory of God,"whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."(1 Corinthians 10:31) This truth keeps our eyes on Jesus and not on what we are producing or mans approval. When we work as unto the Lord we will always produce fruit because we are being led by our Father.
Let's take a look at what Paul told the church at Corinth when they were struggling with giving credit to men instead of God. "For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men? What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building."(1 Corinthians 3:4-9)
This is an important perspective to have and hold on to. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."(Ephesians 2:10) The glory belongs to God! So as we navigate surrender, submission, and being used for God's glory we must remember that ultimately it is not about us. This truly unburdens us. Firstly, when it is about Christ and we're obedient we don't have to wonder if we're doing the right thing because the tarrying with God allows us to learn His voice so we are led by Him. Can we get it wrong sometimes? Absolutely, but it doesn't mean that we don't continue to strive to get it right. Secondly there will be times that our impact is recognized by men and times when it goes unnoticed. And that's how it should be. We are not working as unto man, nor do we need their approval to validate our works.
"Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men"(Colossians 3:23)
The posture of our heart should be to honor God in all things, and the fruit of that produces an impact in our lives and subsequently the lives of others.
As we continue our journey, may we have the right objective. We are created in God's image, for His glory. It all about Jesus! Hallelujah! May our lives point back to Him.
Read, meditate and pray the scriptures below
1 Corinthians 6:20
"For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body."
Colossians 3:23
"Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men."
Romans 3:24-25
being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith.
Today tarry with the Lord. And remember to implement worship throughout your day. Pour out your heart to your Heavenly Father. Pray for revelation, transformation, and the right heart posture. May the Lord use us for His glory and may we always give Him the glory. Hallelujah!
