The Anointing Is Sustained By The Holy Spirit

The Anointing Is Sustained By The Holy Spirit

It's day 3 of our fast and we're concluding our study of the anointing

To recap, the wilderness is apart of the anointing and obedience is imperative to anointing.

Let's conclude with how to sustain the anointing.

We are anointed by the Spirit of God when we believe in Christ, and profess Him as Lord and Savior. We are then responsible for cultivating a life of holiness suitable for the indwelling Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 3:16 reads "don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst."

The anointing on our lives is to carry out the plan and purpose of God. Sometimes we walk through seasons that may seem counterintuitive to the fulfillment of the will of God. However those hard seasons are meant for our character development and dependence on our Heavenly Father. How can we presevere in the face of adversity as the children of God?

We cling to our Father. We establish a steadfast mind, based on the unfailing truth of who God is. God is faithful. 2 Timothy 2:13 reads "if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself." We can trust that what God has spoken about who we are is true. Even if a promise is not yet fulfilled, we can trust that His word does not return to Him void.

As we close our fast today. Let us hold unto the unfailing love of God. The love of God that chose us before the foundation of the world. The unfailing love of God that has allowed us to know Him. The unfailing love of God that pursues us time after time even when we turn away from Him. May we not take advantage today of His grace.

Press in. Seek God. Pursue Him. Chase after Him, Cry out to Him.

He wants you to set your love upon Him. He wants you to choose Him and to cling to Him because He is the source of all good things.

Please read through the scriptures below and pray them

Ezekiel 36: 26-27

"And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules."

Romans 8:9

"You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him."

Romans 8:14

"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."

As you're praying today ask the Lord to fill You with His Holy Spirit and bind any hindering spirit in your life. Pour out your heart to God. Read scripture as you pray and declare the word over your life. Amen.
