His Word

His Word  Today is day 3 of our fast, and we're concluding our study on brilliancy.  We've observed the importance of meditating on who God is, and the profound impact of tarrying in His presence. Let us end with a charge to come into alignment with the precepts of God. The definition of brilliancy includes excellence or distinction in physical or mental ability. We know that God is all knowing, "g reat is our Lord and abundant in strength;  His   understanding is   infinite."(Psalm 147:5) God's infinite  understanding can only produce great instruction and direction. And this is important for us as we navigate what it means to be a child of God and surrender to His will and purpose. We have the privilege to have access to the Word of God at all times, and we have the indwelling Holy Spirit if we have professed Jesus as our Lord and Savior, who reminds us of all truth.  We need to saturate our minds with the truth of God, so that we may be transformed ...

Like A City On a Hill

Like A City On A Hill Today is day 2 of our fast, and we're continuing our study of brilliancy .  Yesterday, we meditated on the majesty and beauty of God. Our theme next month is brilliancy.  According to Collinsdictionary.com brilliancy is defined as great brightness, excellence or distinction in physical or mental ability, splendor, magnificence.  Think for a moment about your greatest desire. What is the one thing your heart is set upon? Is it God? Can we truly say that our Heavenly Father takes precedence in our list of desires? And not in the I've completed my devotion, check the box kind of way. But similar to David when he said " One thing I have asked from the   Lord , that I shall seek: t hat I may   dwell in the house of the   Lord   all the days of my life, t o behold   the   beauty of the   Lord  And to   meditate in His temple."( Psalms 27:4) When was the last time you sat and meditated on God. Not on your earthly desires or prayer list. Just God Himself. His majesty, splendor, beauty, goodness, and magnificence....
