The One

The One   Today is day 3, and we’re concluding our study of the Identity of Divinity. To conclude the identity of divinity should inform how we live our lives. Our knowledge of God is meant to draw us nearer and increase our fellowship with Him. We have the beautiful privilege of being His child. We no longer need an earthly priest to be our mediator, Christ has made a way for us to now be reconciled. And  “ we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)  The treasure within us is the Holy Spirit! Hallelujah!  Father God is in heaven and at his right hand is Jesus, “He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 1:20) But God sent us a helper, for Jesus said “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” (Joh...

He Made A Way

He Made A Way Today is day 2 of our monthly fast, and we are continuing our theme of the Identity of Divinity .  Let’s take it back to Genesis for a bit. God created humans in His image for He said “let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” (Genesis 1:24) This is important to note because when God created man He allowed man to have a level of dominion within parameters “as He said let them rule over the fish of of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth.” God, who has all dominion and power, in His love for humanity gave us privilege to also have dominion over the earth. However as we continue to read we know the dominion that was given was later lost due to disobedience. God’s initial intent was to make man in His image, give man dominion over the earth, and have communion with him. God wants us to know Him. We read that after Adam and Eve sinned “they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool ...

Three in One

Three in One   Today is day 1 of our fast and our theme next month is Identity of Divinity.  According to  Merriam-webster.com/dictionary  identity is defined as the distinguishing character or personality of an individual. The identity of the divine has everything to do with who God is. And thankfully scripture makes it quite plain for us. God has always existed and He is the creator of all things, because “ in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ” ( Genesis 1:1) Not only that but God also identified the Trinity at work from the very beginning. The Holy Spirt was present in the beginning with God, because when “ the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. ” (Genesis 1:3) Jesus was also present. Scripture described Christ as the word made flesh and “ in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ” (John 1:1) Importa...
