June Fast Day 3

So we've looked at kingdom synergy in regards to the power of the Holy Spirit and our faith.

Let's look at how kingdom Synergy is imperative to the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12: 14-20 For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. If they were all one member, where would the body be? But now there are many members, but one body.

The above passage of scripture emphasizes the importance of each one of us in the body of Christ. We are each important to the functionality of the church. Though our gifts are different we are all valuable.  The reference to the human body and each body part having different functions that are integral to the functioning of the body as a whole is a great example. There is a synergy that takes place when the brain communicates to the nerves, muscle fibers and chemical messengers in our body telling the arm to lift up or to clap. Though we don't see how to body sends messages for us to move and walk and carry out actions, it is happening.

The body of Christ needs each other. God created us be apart of community. Hebrews 10:25 reads  not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Connecting with fellow believers is synergistic. We are stronger together.

Ephesians 4:9-10 reads two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Don't allow the enemy to keep you isolated.

If you gravitate to separating from the people of God, or find yourself making excuses when it's time to

gather bring that to God and ask Him to change your heart.

Isolation is a strategy of the kingdom of darkness

Proverbs 18:1 reads He who separates himself seeks his own desire, He quarrels against all sound wisdom.

Spend some time reading through the scriptures below

Hebrews 10: 23-25

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Romans 1:12

that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.

As always we want God to reveal to us any areas of our thinking and ultimately behaviors that are not in alignment with His word. Let us pray for commitment to the body of Christ, to showing up, fellowshipping and serving. Confess, repent and share your heart with your Father. We all want to love the people in our lives in a way that honors God.
