The One

The One   Today is day 3, and we’re concluding our study of the Identity of Divinity. To conclude the identity of divinity should inform how we live our lives. Our knowledge of God is meant to draw us nearer and increase our fellowship with Him. We have the beautiful privilege of being His child. We no longer need an earthly priest to be our mediator, Christ has made a way for us to now be reconciled. And  “ we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)  The treasure within us is the Holy Spirit! Hallelujah!  Father God is in heaven and at his right hand is Jesus, “He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 1:20) But God sent us a helper, for Jesus said “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” (Joh...

He Made A Way

He Made A Way Today is day 2 of our monthly fast, and we are continuing our theme of the Identity of Divinity .  Let’s take it back to Genesis for a bit. God created humans in His image for He said “let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” (Genesis 1:24) This is important to note because when God created man He allowed man to have a level of dominion within parameters “as He said let them rule over the fish of of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth.” God, who has all dominion and power, in His love for humanity gave us privilege to also have dominion over the earth. However as we continue to read we know the dominion that was given was later lost due to disobedience. God’s initial intent was to make man in His image, give man dominion over the earth, and have communion with him. God wants us to know Him. We read that after Adam and Eve sinned “they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool ...

Three in One

Three in One   Today is day 1 of our fast and our theme next month is Identity of Divinity.  According to  Merriam-webster.com/dictionary  identity is defined as the distinguishing character or personality of an individual. The identity of the divine has everything to do with who God is. And thankfully scripture makes it quite plain for us. God has always existed and He is the creator of all things, because “ in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ” ( Genesis 1:1) Not only that but God also identified the Trinity at work from the very beginning. The Holy Spirt was present in the beginning with God, because when “ the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. ” (Genesis 1:3) Jesus was also present. Scripture described Christ as the word made flesh and “ in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ” (John 1:1) Importa...

His Word

His Word  Today is day 3 of our fast, and we're concluding our study on brilliancy.  We've observed the importance of meditating on who God is, and the profound impact of tarrying in His presence. Let us end with a charge to come into alignment with the precepts of God. The definition of brilliancy includes excellence or distinction in physical or mental ability. We know that God is all knowing, "g reat is our Lord and abundant in strength;  His   understanding is   infinite."(Psalm 147:5) God's infinite  understanding can only produce great instruction and direction. And this is important for us as we navigate what it means to be a child of God and surrender to His will and purpose. We have the privilege to have access to the Word of God at all times, and we have the indwelling Holy Spirit if we have professed Jesus as our Lord and Savior, who reminds us of all truth.  We need to saturate our minds with the truth of God, so that we may be transformed ...

Like A City On a Hill

Like A City On A Hill Today is day 2 of our fast, and we're continuing our study of brilliancy .  Yesterday, we meditated on the majesty and beauty of God. Today let us explore how His presence changes our very countenance. After God showed Moses His glory, He gave him the 10 commandments on Mount Sinai. And " It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the  two tablets of the testimony  were  in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that  the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him."(Exodus 34:29) This is important to note. The Hebrew  word for shone in the above passage  is qaran, which means to send out rays. Moses face radiated   BECAUSE of His speaking with the LORD. Consider the depth of this passage! What does that mean for us? How can we apply this to our own personal walk with the Lord, or better yet our expectation when we tarry in His presence? We can expec...

In Awe

In Awe  Today is day 1 of our monthly fast. Our theme next month is brilliancy.  According to Collinsdictionary.com brilliancy is defined as great brightness, excellence or distinction in physical or mental ability, splendor, magnificence.  Think for a moment about your greatest desire. What is the one thing your heart is set upon? Is it God? Can we truly say that our Heavenly Father takes precedence in our list of desires? And not in the I've completed my devotion, check the box kind of way. But similar to David when he said " One thing I have asked from the   Lord , that I shall seek: t hat I may   dwell in the house of the   Lord   all the days of my life, t o behold   the   beauty of the   Lord  And to   meditate in His temple."( Psalms 27:4) When was the last time you sat and meditated on God. Not on your earthly desires or prayer list. Just God Himself. His majesty, splendor, beauty, goodness, and magnificence....

The Impact Is For His Glory

The Impact Is For His Glory  Today is day 3 of our fast, and we're concluding our theme of IMPACT.  After reviewing hidden impact and the importance of tarrying, let us conclude with what our impact should yield. If we hold fast to the truth that "everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made," (Isaiah 43:7) then we have the right perspective.  All of what we do is for the glory of God, " w hether, then, you eat or drink or  whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."(1 Corinthians 10:31) This truth keeps our eyes on Jesus and not on what we are producing or mans approval. When we work as unto the Lord we will always produce fruit because we are being led by our Father.  Let's take a look at what Paul told the church at Corinth when they were struggling with giving credit to men instead of God. " For when  one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere me...
